List your own events!
- Time: Aug. 2, 2007
- I've just added a small little feature to list events. It isn't 100% complete yet, but should be very soon. Go ahead and start listing events for others to see!
UOEvents Meebo Room
- Source: Joe Andrusyszyn
- Time: May 16, 2007
- I have just created a Meebo Room for the site. For those unfamiliar with Meebo Rooms, they are basically just chat rooms. The link is on the main page. If you experience problems with it (I haven't had much time to test it yet, so there might be an issue somewhere), please let me know what problem you are having and I'll try to fix it.
Status of UOEvents
- Time: April 21, 2007
- UOEvents right now is in an absolutely terrible state since it hasn't been updated for so long, and it's really not that useful at the moment except as an archive. There is hope, however, as I have now drawn in the help of Vallend to do some updating. Like myself, Vallend is a Catskills Shard Reporter for UO Stratics, and has done a great job at keeping up-to-date with the Inu the Crone plot. Hopefully he'll have enough time to keep the site updated until I can get more free time to get back to doing it myself.
UOEvents First Contest: Cancelled
- Time: Feb. 18, 2007
- Due to a lack of submissions for the contest, I am going to cancel it. A contest will be held at a later time, when interest in UOEvents.net appears to have grown.
Monthly Summary
- Time: Feb. 1, 2007
- This is the first of what hopefully will be a monthly occurance - a summary of what has been done on UOEvents over the past month. This time, however, I am instead going to give a quick summary of what there is at UOEvents now, not just what I've done in the past month (and I'll be doing so rather hastily, so forgive the poor formatting).
UOEvents currently has information on the following events, with details on them up until January 31, 2007:- Winter Holidays 2006
- Halloween 2006
- Inu the Crone (Including seperations into "Search for the Real Book of Truth", "Blackrock Surge", "War Over the Artificed Scion", and "Barry the Moongate")
- The Knighting of Mac (Siege Perilous)
- Get Well Soon Otto (Siege Perilous)
Tips about how to approach events have been added from various sources, including Draconi and Jeremy from EA Mythic.
Links to websites that often contain information about UO Event related topics have been added.
A store has been created for UOEvents, though it currently is lacking in quality merchandise (which should change as soon as I get some new graphics for the site).
The ability to select the site's skin, register yourself as a user, filter the plot list based on shard, and a list of NPCs that are thought to still exist somewhere in UO have all been added at the request of users.
The first UOEvents contest has started, though currently the number of entries is exceptionally low.
UOEvents Adds a News Section!
- Time: Jan. 26, 2007
- UOEvents now has a news section, where I will add bits of news about the site itself, event-related UO news, or non-event-related but important UO news.
UO: Stygian Abyss Announced
- Source: UO Japan (in Japanese)
- Time: Jan. 25, 2007
- It was learned that UO: Kingdom Reborn has been split into two expansions - Kingdom Reborn and Stygian Abyss. Kingdom Reborn will be the client upgrade, and will be free for everybody to download. Stygian Abyss will be a more traditional expansion, adding Gargoyles as a new player race and the Stygian Abyss as a new dungeon. UO:KR will be released in Spring '07, and UO:SA will be released in Summer '07.
UOEvents' First Contest
- Time: Jan. 22, 2007
- UOEvents is having a contest! Details are still being ironed out, but you can find information about it in the unrelated information section of the site.
InuWiki Merging with UOGuides
- Source: InuWiki
- Time: Jan. 21, 2007
- Salmar's wiki on the Inu the Crone plot (www.inuwiki.com) is being merged with UOGuides (www.uoguides.com). Salmar is soon to enter into fatherhood, so he knows he won't have enough time to keep the Inu Wiki going as well as he'd like as his own site. Everything on the Inu Wiki is being copied over to UOGuides, so no data will be lost in the merge.
